The ski area, rated as a "top-class ski area" with 5 stars by the largest test portal www.skiresort.de, is accessible from two locations. Mellau lies in the valley, Damüls at 1,432 metres. The terrain in the Damüls mountain world in the Vorarlberg Alps is also ideal for freeriding and ski touring. There are plenty of marvellous deep snow slopes and attractive routes. The more than 100 km of ski slopes in the Damüls-Mellau-Faschina ski region in the Bregenzerwald and the Großes Walsertal biosphere reserve are characterised by their famously reliable snow conditions.
